I believe I started using the Studio One Digital Audio Workstation in 2010. I had read some good things about it. And it was affordable for a novice home recording beginner. I dove head first into recording drums at home. There was a steep learning curve. But, Studio One ended up being very intuitive and user friendly. It is an indispensable tool for my home studio. If I'm asked, I always recommend Studio One to someone looking for a great DAW.
